āUpgrade Your Self-Concept: 2 Mindset Hacks For Introverts To Overcome Social Awkwardness, Be Unfazed, Create Valuable Relationships, And Change Their Whole Appearance
Just to name a few.
āI wish that I could be like the cool kidsā¦ā
We all want to be⦠cool. We want to be accepted for who we are and to feel part of a community. But many of us prefer to be alone and just observe. What is it about those cool peeps that separates them from the shy ones?
Their self-concept. What they think and believe to be true about themselves becomes, well, the truth.
How you see yourself is how the whole world sees you. But the best part?
Your self-concept can change in an instant.
Here's how:
#1. Adopting a personality in a second.
Frequency first, action later.
Before you do anything, make up your mind that you are the kind of person who resonates with your actions. The act of simply deciding that something is true or false about yourself has an enormous amount of energy that reflects on the outer world.
If you think of yourself as a shy person, an introvert, or someone people laugh at for being weird, the world will mirror that back to you.
No hard feelings - itās just how it works. Affirmations are the real deal because sooner or later, youāll start believing what you affirm - or, as I like to say, confirm.
#2. Fake it until you make it.
This good-ol' clichĆ© works because everything starts as a habit, whether itās about weight loss, business success, or even flirting. Fake it until you make it, which literally translates to saturating your subconscious mind, which will then give birth to a certain reality for you.
It might feel a bit weird at first, but the more you practice, the more natural it becomes.
Walk as an attractive person that everyone wants to be around.
Behave like a self-confident badass who isn't influenced by other peopleās opinions.
Be the person you want to be before you actually are that person.
This is the only way to become who you wish to be.
After all, these were the exact steps we took unconsciously to be where we are now.
