I love challenges! It’s a great way to discover so much about yourself and your life.
So I accepted an extreme 7-day gratitude challenge where I have to write 590 things I am grateful for! 590!!!
I used to have trouble coming up with 10 things every day and this has been really challenging for my mind and emotions.
The first few days I felt somewhat empty and superficial. But on the third day, I started to feel so much more aligned and connected to all the beautiful and little things in my life.
Everything I am thankful for started pouring outside of me and the abundance I felt was beyond comparison.
I never even realized how blessed I am because I never went that deep.
And for the fist time I actually felt all those ‘unimportant’ things living inside my heart but I never really noticed them before!
It’s absolutely mind-blowing to understand how badly we can focus on wanting only one thing but not paying attention to how the whole Universe lives inside of us.
Well, many of the things I wrote down might sound ridiculous to someone else but they are precious to me.
One moment you’re giving thanks to God, the other you’re being grateful for your toothbrush.
It’s all about the emotion and feeling abundant. Because unfortunately we are programmed to notice how much something means to us when we lose it.
And this is exactly the mindset I am cultivating with the help of this exercise. Being grateful for my toothbrush sounds so silly but without it, I might have some serious health problems.
It’s all about picking what you want to focus on in life.
So, pick wisely and keep your heart open because it is so much easier to think about the things you want to see manifested instead of everything you are scared of.
We are supposed to create our own life and not be scared of it. It’s up to us to stop being puppets on a string, enslaved by our own limiting beliefs and illusional inadequacy.
Do you like doing gratitude exercises? Have you seen any significant changes in your daily life?
